Two-level solution[edit]

I intend to restore the links to the Jazz musicians category which were removed and replaced with a link to an instrumental subcategory. I think that there is a need for a general category – if you're reading an article about a jazz organist, for example, you may well want to read about players of other instruments, so having a general category saves a step. My impression of the value of a general category may well be coloured by my having supplied hundreds (sic) of links to the general category. If you think the general links should be removed, please let me know. John FitzGerald 03:21, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

It would be nice if links from subcategories would automagically show up in the parent category, but for some reason that doesn't happen. It's a good idea to have a general list for the reason you mention, but there should be an easy way to do it. -- mako 06:43, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)
And why does Miles have his own category to himself? -- mako 06:56, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)
