Could not find a confirming source for this. Nirvana Day for Buddhists is in February. Don't know what this is referring to.

Here's an article on her death, if that is needed.

She's not important enough to be listed on a Day article. Lkjhgfdsa 0 (talk) 17:41, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1992 Births[edit]

Anybody else see that? For someone reason I can't remove it. I don't think Maddy Jacobs being drunk has anything to do with births on this date. Do you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.38.12.175 (talk) 05:39, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A person being drunk is never important enough to be on a Day article, even if the person is a world leader. Lkjhgfdsa 0 (talk) 17:41, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do we include fictional events?[edit]

If we do, today is the day of the Pulse from Dark Angel. Just thought I'd mention it. Xavius, the Satyr Lord (talk) 20:24, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fictional events should never be included on Day articles. They are about important real events only. Lkjhgfdsa 0 (talk) 17:41, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1910 – 'Robert Falcon Scott's South Pole expedition leaves England'. Erm, no it doesn't[edit]

Unless someone has moved Cardiff to England since I last checked, the starting place of the expedition is incorrect. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terra_Nova_Expedition#First_season.2C_1910.E2.80.9311 The ship sailed from Cardiff, Wales not England. So, it should either be 'sailed from Cardiff, Wales' or 'sailed from the United Kingdom'. Any preferences? World milk day[edit]

How about listing the World Milk Day. Isn't it notable enough? Ref: article at FAO -ArdWar (TCL) 07:04, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Form[edit]

Sure is annoying to see all those events listed in the present tense, when they all occurred so many years ago! Doc.Ian (talk) 00:41, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Births and deaths[edit]

Cleanup of births and deaths proceeding. See DOY project for further information. Deb (talk) 19:57, 20 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Holidays and observations Fei Fei Day[edit]

Fei Fei day is not in perpetuity but only the year she died. I think it is not right here. Could be on 'deaths'?

As it isn't an annual event, it must be removed per Wikipedia:Days of the year. You can request an addition to her date of death providing you can supply a reliable source for the date. Thanks. No Great Shaker (talk) 15:29, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 1 June 2020[edit]

Could someone please add Thomas Berry to the death list for June 1, 2009. He was a very important historian, environmental activist, and catholic priest.

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:6000:F402:5A00:3D34:409C:D7A3:6011 (talk) 14:28, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: can you please provide a reliable source for the information (the parent article doesn't help)? Please also place talk page requests and comments at the bottom of the page, not at the top. Thank you. No Great Shaker (talk) 06:48, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Error re Scott leaving Cardiff?[edit]

While it says here "1910 – Robert Falcon Scott's second South Pole expedition leaves Cardiff" - the article on the expedition (Terra Nova Expedition) states that "Terra Nova sailed from Cardiff, Wales, on 15 June 1910". This would suggest that either that article is wrong, or that the entry here is in error. Dunarc (talk) 19:58, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It seems pretty definite that the entry here is wrong, and, since it's not referenced, I've removed it. Deb (talk) 13:30, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for sorting this Dunarc (talk) 20:51, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Beginning of the [north] Atlantic hurricane season not worth mentioning, if any are? B137 (talk) 03:13, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You can include it as long as you include a citation. Deb (talk) 08:09, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
