I'm wondering if there should be a page not for "archaic" by itself, but for "archaic period". This is not one period world-wide, but relative to local history/archaeology, so it won't have much substantive content, but mostly point to other articles. Note that there are a lot of pages that point to archaic for no good reason. These should be changed to point to archaism, archaic Greece, or whatever, or be de-linked. --Macrakis 21:43, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds better to me and it gets us out of the dicdef problem. Presumably Archaic could still redirect to Archaic Period though?

Shouldn't there also be a page linked to from here about the computer hacker/cracker (pick your favourite term) by the handle of "Archaic" who broke into the computers of the CIA, and other such organisations?
