I just noticed the image (Image:31b.jpg) you added to the Geographic information system page (nice and colourful). Was this image "taken from www.clarklabs.org" with permission or just taken. If the latter, please remove it and replace it with a work that is not copyrighted by someone else. (I am pretty sure you would own the copyright to a screen capture taken by yourself and therefore can legally be placed in wikipedia). Rschulz 04:31, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I think you've got a bad picture there[edit]

Hi- I was just curious what was available out there regarding GIS on this site. Your picture doesn't seem to be about GIS- it looks like someone's remote sensing project. Though remote sensing is used in a GIS, it is not defined as a GIS.

License tagging for Image:Aagarage1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Aagarage1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:05, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:31b.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:31b.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:43, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

October 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Spray Can Art has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Speedy deletion of Possum Point Players[edit]

A tag has been placed on Possum Point Players requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. CalendarWatcher (talk) 00:15, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reply[edit]

Please write referenced and grammatically correct sentences in the article. I revised and edited the newly added content of yours in the Beijing Ancient Observatory article because many of the sentences and proses did not flow well and the article was not formatted right (with many blank spaces).--TheLeopard (talk) 04:42, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The grammatical mistakes that were on the Beijing Ancient Observatory are not mine, because I was only editing the new contents you added; I did not add any new materials to the article. The problems concerning your edits are not just grammer but also the format you modified, since you seems to be unaware of the appearance of the article. Paragraphs only consisting of one or two sentences, and blank spacing in-between them are not very encyclopedic.--TheLeopard (talk) 09:38, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:BugEV.JPG[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:BugEV.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Peripitus (Talk) 11:16, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Parts of the article that you made on Wheel hub motor appears to be copyrighted text. Please remove all content that violates WP:COPYRIGHT. Thank you, Kotiwalo (talk) 11:17, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's ok, thanks for explaining the case. See you 'round and happy editing! Your truly, Kotiwalo (talk) 12:07, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

July 2009[edit]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Wheel motor, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Re:Manual of Style[edit]

Its located at Wikipedia:Manual of Style. You'll see there (under the section for italics) that using italics is the preferred means for showing emphasis as opposed to bold formatting; that's usually left for opening sentences for articles. Also take a look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (text formatting). Bear in mind that there is a full list of the books over at List of StarCraft media, which is linked to from the article, that's better aimed at showing the details about the novels you refer to. -- Sabre (talk) 20:11, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
