Valsalva maneuver?[edit]

Hi Mark,

Shouldn't Valsva manoeuvre be Valsalva maneuver or Valsalva manoeuvre? The 'maneuver' spelling already has an article, which you might want to merge with yours.

Hi Mark, this has moved to Respiration (physiology) which is standard format. The old page is a redirect see talk: List of physiology topics: respiration. I dont think that diving belongs under this subcatagory. This is still a useful subject though so keep up the good work.

PS. If you are going to do a page such as the effect of diving on the physiology of respiration (this name is too long) it could link from Respiration (physiology).Bensaccount 23:15, 27 Feb 2004 (UTC)

The Humungous Image Tagging Project[edit]

Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. Article Licensing[edit]

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Howdy! I'm here because of the Humungous Image Tagging Project, and I'm curious about the copyright status of an image you uploaded. The picture in question is Image:12 and 3 litre diving cylinders.JPG, and it doesn't currently have an image copyright tag on it. If you could tag it with something to let us know what the copyright is, that would be great. Drysuit inflation gases discussion[edit]

Hi Mark, I've noticed that you're a regular contributer to the diving related articles, and appear to be a tech diver. (I'm assuming that's your Inspiration in the photo you uploaded.) There's been an addition to the Diving suit article stating that normoxic argox is sometimes used as a suit inflation gas, as it has the advantage that it can be breathed in an emergency. I think this is a completely ridiculous claim, and have started a discussion about it's removal on that article's talk page. Would you like to comment on this? Rule of thirds[edit]

Please stop and learn the correct way to move and/or create disambiguation pages. Your edits are being reverted; you can't just copy the contents of a page to a new page of your choice, abandoning the talk history. And moving someone else's page so you can use its name as a disambig page is bad form. Instead, create Rule of thirds (disambiguation) and add a distinguish tag to Rule of thirds. Hi. I've lined up the items on Image:Light characteristics.PNG and made the background of the text transparent so that it appears more naturally on most backgrounds. I've released my changes as public domain like your original copy. (I'm not sure my changes are even enough to be copyrightable, but I added the tag anyway.) I see that you reverted back to the industrial injury definition.Let me clarify a little here. An accident or incident at work may lead to an injury that may be fatal,traumatic or minor. Asbestosis or silicosis are not injuries rather diseases caused by chronic exposures to asbestos and silica dust respectively at work. I also sugegst you add a synonymn - occupational injury. I think you are mixing disease which are result of chronic exposures and injuries as result of accidents / incidents at work. Youmay also want to add that most if not all industrial injuries are unintentional although some like a robbery at work or being subjected to violence at work classifies as intentional injury. Hello, Mark.murphy. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
