Native names[edit]

If someone could find the original Dutch ship names in Dutch and add them, that would be good. It's customary in English to refer to ship names in their original language (De Roode Leeuw instead of the Red Lion) --kudz75 00:15, 8 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Spanish strenght and losses[edit]

I'm going to restore the Spanish strenght and losses acording to Spanish sources for several reasons, but mainly because they are more revealing, setting the number of warships and their crews. In addition, I don't know if there were 21 vessels in the bay, but it's clear that the Spanish lost only 14 units (burned or damaged), of which only 5 were galleons. I think that some sources are trying to exaggerate the result of battle, either on its own initiative or because they have based their research on contemporaneous Dutch sources. So please, don't delete reliable content. ElBufon (talk) 06:32, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree articles must be written from a NPOV this means using sources from both involved parties, I will update the article to reflect this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Catsclaw (talkcontribs) 18:17, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
