Article rewritten by Bhante Dhammika[edit]

As Bhante Dhammika, a renowned monk from the Theravada tradition, said his entries were formerly deleted here, I took the freedom to include his extensive work on the subject myself, with his permission. I just left the entry lines from the previous article here and replaced all the rest. So all credit for the content goes to him, all the blame for doing this to me. You cannot just add exact text from somewhere to an article. That is a WP:COPYVIO. The article has been restored to the previous version without the copyright infringement. Dharmalion76 (talk) 15:23, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I see that you found the text in the Sunday times. Nevertheless couldn't you have asked me first before calling it a "copyright infringement" publicly (which is, if you are wrong, illegal by itself, by the way) and removing it? I got it from Bhante Dhammika's website (blog) and from there it is pretty clear that he recommended it for Wiki but had no success in previously posting it himself and got tired of it - that's where I jumped in. Bhante is a Theravada monk. Still, I will inform him to give his official consent ... http://sdhammika.blogspot.com/2016/06/buddhism-weddings-and-marriage.htmlOtaku00 (talk) 03:36, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't need to ask your permission first because you don't own this article. Nowhere in that blog post does it release that text to the public, further wikipedia articles should use multiple reliable sources and aren't simply places to republish single author's opinions. Dharmalion76 (talk) 16:51, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you should ask first, as recommended in the Wiki guidelines. But that's beyond the point. You should be careful not to blame others of committing a crime (copyright infringement) because that in itself may constitute a crime (libel). The blog post has comments, and from there it becomes clear that the author has nothing against it and unsuccessfully tried to post articles before although he is highly critical of Wiki. As we can see, for the right reasons. Just look at the text and its content that is online now. It would be better to delete this entry right now. I hope that the author sends his permission to the given Wiki address so that we see some improvements in quality here.Otaku00 (talk) 14:16, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Please read both WP:OWN and more importantly WP:LEGAL. Do NOT make legal threats on wikipedia. Dharmalion76 (talk) 17:22, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
