Years later, 35 of the 47 were pardoned by the Governor. 2001 – Megawati Sukarnoputri (pictured) became the first female president of Indonesia after her predecessor Abdurrahman Wahid was removed from office. Henri Petain

My apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but Henri Petain is shown as having died twice (1951 and 1955). Uyanga 19:49 23 Jul 2003 (UTC)

I removed the 1955 Petain entry; I believe the 1951 date to be the correct one. Zoicon5 16 Oct 2003

Ice cream cone

"1904 - In St. Louis, Missouri, Charles E. Menches invents the ice cream cone during the Louisiana Purchase Exposition." Upon reading Ice cream cone, this can be noted to be false. I'm removing it. Radagast 02:06, Jul 23, 2004 (UTC)

Largely agree, except for removal of:

• 1970 - Qaboos ibn Sa’id, becomes Sultan of Oman - this would be a valid inclusion here.

The reason that one was removed is because, generally, repetitive events, such as presidential elections, changes in kings, etc. are not remarkable in and of themselves. They are fairly routine. Only in the case of assassination or resignation would they be considered notable here. I don't think that was the case with Qaboos ibn Sa’id, but I could be wrong. -- Mufka ^{(u) (t) (c)} 13:48, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

From my reading of the article, Qaboos ibn Sa’id overthrew his father in 1970 and has reigned ever since. My view is that that would meet the notability criteria. Mark5677 20:12, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

I've gone through all the list but there seems to be a serious ommission as the entry fails to mention the birthday of Greek royalty Natasa Pandi on July 23, 1982, Corfu, Greece. She is among the leading public royal figures of Europe and ranked 25th on Forbes list of the most powerful women in the world, 2013.
