William Garrity O'Connell[edit]

Vanity page. William Garrity O'Connell is a 23-year old student at St Thomas's University. Neither he, nor his philosophy of Vital Materialism is referenced anywhere on the internet (at least that I can find). Not notable yet. This version of William Garrity O'Connell's page gives the game away. Mpntod 23:05, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)

  • As I said for his philosophy... delete. Vanity and non-notable. Google search on "William O'Connell" "st. thomas" gives only 102 results, and for "William Garrity O'Connell", only one result. --Idont Havaname 23:35, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Agreed: Vanity & Not Notable. --Randy 23:40, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Note that the author has been deleting the VfD notice from the article. --jpgordon{gab} 01:05, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete for the reasons above. Since a person with using the same IP number keeps dicking around with the page, perhaps the IP number could beneficially be given a short vacation from Wikipedia. Hoary 04:00, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC) On second thoughts, perhaps it's dial-up and DHCP. Anyway, both the numbers used (66.41.blah-blah) belong to Comcast Cable Communications Holdings, or so I learn via the ever-useful samspade.org. Hoary 04:07, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. On the philosophy page, I also said don't bite the newcomer, but I am disappointed with the comment about harassing moderators. Clearly, I was expecting William to be polite as well. Perhaps this is what we should expect when VfD gets snippy. In either case, 66.41.X.X and/or William should read more about Wikipedia. You are not harrassing moderators, there is no such thing here. We're just regular users like yourself, trying to improve the project. Thanks. Chris vLS 17:21, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
