Talk:Walter Harriman (Stargate)

In season two episode "1969," in which SG-1 goes back in time, General Hammond (who is currently only a lieutenant) addresses the character as "Airman".

I cut the reference to "1969", in which the character doesn't even appear. (And of course Lt. Hammond couldn't have talked to him in any case.) So, what's the correct episode? —wwoods 08:57, 30 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't checked to see if this is the only such reference. Happened on it by chance. Harriman is also wearing a nice tie & stuff, not a uniform that I can determine. Hammond to Walter: "Sgt., I'd like you to get me the president on the phone." early in "Into the Fire" Walter's at a desk next to the briefing room, looks like. Just FYI for one of my edits, since it doesn't look like an article-worthy note.

Psychic talent[edit]

Okay, this has bothered me for months, but what the heck does the article mean when it says he has psychic talent? He's never been shown to have any kind of mental powers, so what is this referring to? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.85.165.48 (talk • contribs)

Quite possibly it was put in as a subtle bit of vandalism. I've removed it, if anyone thinks it should be there then hopefully they'll provide some sort of reference to back it up next time it's inserted. Thanks for drawing my attention to it. Bryan 00:15, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

actually what it boils down to is the Harriman and Radar share the gift of knowing what thier commander is about to say before they say it and having everything they need before they need it. I chalked up Harriman 's first name and this gift plus that Harriman calls out on the loud speaker "incoming wormhole" just as Radar says "Incoming Choppers" as a homage to Mash's Radar. First Sergeant comment[edit]

This comment puzzles me a little: "First Sergeant's only job is to be a First Sergeant". I gather than in the USAF, 1sgt is an appointment, rather than a rank, but isn't it consistent both with what he does, and with him being a Master Sergeant in rank? Alai 01:23, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
