Fair use rationale for Image:Jazz Jackrabbit gameplay.screenshot.png[edit]

Image:Jazz Jackrabbit gameplay.screenshot.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Jazz Jackrabbit (series)Jazz Jackrabbit

  • Per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (video games): If a video game series has a naming conflict solely with the first game in the series (e.g., Final Fantasy), the series page should reside at the primary name if the series possesses a minimum of 3 video game articles as well as at least one other unrelated video game or related media item. Otherwise, the first game in the series should occupy the primary name, and the series article should be disambiguated with "... (series)". There are five video games in the series, and two of them, a 1994 video game and a 2002 video game, are known as just "Jazz Jackrabbit", so making the series page the main article would make sense. —84.92.117.93 (talk) 21:49, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Currently page Jazz Jackrabbit is a disambig of 5 choices. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 23:23, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The move makes sense to me. All articles on that disambiguation page should be linked to from here anyway. -- Sabre (talk) 23:24, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • If that's the convention, go for it. -- Sander (talk) 10:21, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting Jazz Jackrabbit 3[edit]

There is a canceled game in the Jazz Jackrabbit series, Jazz Jackrabbit 3D: Adventures of a Mean Green Hare that needs spliting into the new article. 78.148.59.52 (talk) 18:49, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Inspiration[edit]

I know JJ was inspired by the likes of Sonic as well as being loosely based on Aesop's The Tortoise and the Hare, but are there any official info/confirmation that the series and character were also inspired by Bucky O'Hare? Considering some similarities between the two I heard some people say this is the case and I don't doubt it but I haven't been able to find some official sources.--195.178.177.170 (talk) 08:35, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
