"All times EST"? Don't you mean EDT? Why does the world have to revolve around the eastern time zone? Times should be given in local time zones, not eastern time. RedWolf 05:18, Aug 31, 2004 (UTC)

Well the finals are in Toronto, so I figured.... well at the time I didnt know what time zone Finland was on. I didnt know if it was +1 or +2.
It's on +3 at this time of year. --Lakefall 18:49, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Worldcupofhockeylogo2004.PNG[edit]

Image:Worldcupofhockeylogo2004.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Czech Republic Bronze Medal?[edit]

The World Cup of Hockey did not award medals at all, so the table were it shows Canada, Finland, and the Czech Republic as medalists is wrong. Furthermore, there was no 3rd place game, so based on what criteria is the Czech Republic awarded the position ahead of the other semi-final loser, the USA?Djob (talk) 22:39, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

IIHF presents standings that rank CZE third, but there were no medals awarded. On their biographical register Canadaian and Finnish players are noted as being 1st or 2nd, but players from the other six nations are given no designation, so it is ambiguous if someone wished to argue the point I suppose. If someone has a official NHL source, or an archived hockey canada source, it would likely help.18abruce (talk) 16:28, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
