I lived near Charleston, SC, for almost 20 years and have never heard The Battery referred to as Battery Park. White Point Gardens is one point along the Battery. Are you sure it should be called Battery Park? Sure, some Web pages might call it that, but are those Web pages reputable? I looked at several maps of the area and could not find one labeling The Battery or White Point Gardens Battery Park.
