Untitled[edit]

Ben Moody has many extended family members that reside in Wimberley, TX and other places around the US. He also has a brother who could be considered a piano virtuoso and who is the leader singer for the up and coming band Rigby Fawkes, and a cousin named Brian K. Moody and an uncle named Keith Moody who both reside in Wimberley, TX. Brian moody is part if an up-and-coming band called Beastiality who are based out of Wimberley, but will be touring with the band The Poet and Animality around Austin, San Antonio, as well as Gerogetown. The guitarist for Beastiality is named Greg Gibson, and he also resides in Wimberley.

Explicit Indication[edit]

Is there any explicit indication that the abusive boyfriend is Ben Moody? While it could make sense, it said in the interview/article sourced that she refuses to comment on who it is.--218.102.124.51 16:01, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The implication is pretty strong. However, it is an UNSUBSTANTIATED allegation that is being made by Amy Lee. As such, it may or may not be true, is potentially libelous, and should most likely be removed.

REMOVED ABUSE SECTION[edit]

this seems to be causing an issue

I removed the whole section relating to the alleged abuse (see WP:BLP). Having read both sources, there is NOTHING to say that he was physically abusive. While her attorneys have described it as an "abusive relationship", and Lee has said various uncomplimentary things about Moody, there is no way we can definitively state he was physically and emotionally abusive. The most that should be included is a note about the attorney's description of the relationship, and possibly some quotes from Lee. exolon 05:12, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"in my opinion"
Thank goodness you put that. To suggest that a physically/emotionally abused person is responsible for the abuse they have received is disgusting and very offensive. Sion 10:56, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think the point was, if both parties were engaging in physical/emotional abuse, can either party be said to particularly at fault? If you punch me in the face b/c I kicked you in the shin, am I really free of guilt?Jeffhall318 20:43, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's not what I meant to say BTW. I was just saying that it's possible she provoked Ben into beating her or whatever. So I guess it's her fault, but Ben didn't have to take it that far. I'm not pro-abuse if that's what you're thinking. I guess they're both at fault.

"I was just saying that it's possible she provoked Ben into beating her or whatever. So I guess it's her fault,"
Please don't contradict yourself. Either way, don't use this site as a platform to spread inflammatory rumors. Oh, and sign your comments. That goes for ALL of you anons posting all over this section. Sion 06:58, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll use this site however I wanna use it. Quit trying to tell me what to do. And I'll not sign my name if I don't wanna sign it either.

This isn't court. Sion 06:58, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

you are both pathetic. why are you arguing about something none of you have any idea about other than what you read about. you both werent there so both of you shut up! ok? Zacanescence 12:38, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why add fuel to the fire? Trying to tell someone to shut up online is just as pathetic as you claim they are.

The fact that you had to add your dumbass comments makes you just as idiotic as the other 2 morons. Of course, the same goes for me as well, but at least I can RECOGNIZE that.

when did they say they were a victim of abuse? thats just another dumbass asumption of yours. sucks to be you! (whoever you are who dosent sign there comments and the one defending ben moody)

I never said they said they were a victim of abuse dipshit. I just said that the reason they lashed out like that was probably cuz they themself were an abuse victim. Sucks to be me? Sucks to be you jackass. And I'm not defending ANYONE you moron. I'm just saying what I think. You don't like it, oh well.

wow, you have some serious issues, that you have to call everyone names even when they're trying to stop the arguement Zacanescence 09:40, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to me that you started it by calling them pathetic dude. Try keeping those kinds of comments to yourself and see what happens. You might surprise yourself. And learn how to spell before you post stuff too.

Name[edit]

It's "Ben Moody III", stop changing it to the second.

I wonder about the advisability of posting this here, but it is incontrovertible proof of his real name, to my mind. Property records from a county where he owns a home list the owner's full name as Moody, Ben Robert II. The address for the owner is a California address, and it is safe to assume that this is Ben Moody the musician rather than his father. His father's home is listed as well, with his mother Melissa Moody, who is a relatively well-known photographer, listed as co-owner. It's clear to me that Ben Robert Moody is his father, Melissa Moody is his mother, and he is Ben Robert Moody II. Also, the Evanescence Reference wiki page on Ben Moody lists his full name as Ben Robert Moody II, and it is probably the most accurate source of Evanescence information on the internet, since it is essentially a joint project of EvBoard and Evthreads. As I said, this is pretty much incontrovertible evidence. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.132.242.232 (talk) 17:57, 29 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Ahem. His ex-fiance contacted me a year ago, and told me *HERSELF* that it's Ben Robert Moody the 3rd. So, no. It's not the second. - benmoody0220

I'm afraid that's not good enough of a source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Allthecoolnamesweretaken (talkcontribs) 17:28, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
it actually is a good enough source, betch. Also, Ben Moody lives in Ohio, it said so on his myspace. So, Cali is not the right address for him. Also, if you look on the evref, it DOES say Ben Robert Moody III. - benmoody0220 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.74.129.65 (talk) 16:46, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care if it is 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th, it would be useful to find a reliable, verifiable source...aka, not some ex-fiance's word, any sort of fan forum, or another website that anyone can edit! EvRef is not a valid source. -- Huntster T@C 01:07, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Seeing as how the guy who runs EvRef knows the band, it is a valid source. - benmoody0220 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.85.191.226 (talk) 17:26, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In the same way as the ex-fiance isn't a valid source, simply knowing the band isn't a valid source either. And like any other wiki, it doesn't matter if one person "runs" EvRef, lots of people can contribute to it. There is no real fact-checking. Please read WP:V, which should explain the need for valid sources. -- Huntster T@C 17:44, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop trying to defend yourself when you know you're wrong. Get over it and accept it, it IS the III. I'm done with this, it's the third, accept it. - benmoody0220 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.184.33.250 (talk) 15:14, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No can do! Allthecoolnamesweretaken 13:33, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I really hope I'm not going to be banned for repetitve vandalism, but I think we have to decide once and for all what the bloke's name is! 217.123.230.102 19:14, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm removing both the IIs and IIIs from the article. At this point, it is irrelevant whether it is correct or not; until someone can produce a source that meets Wikipedia guidelines (as has been mentioned time and again here), do not change this material! Ex-fiances, Evanescence Reference, MySpace and property records need not apply. Please present something verifiable to a wide audience. -- Huntster T@C 01:56, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Future releases[edit]

CAN'T REGRET WHAT YOU DON'T REMEMBER

Anyone have any new info about the release date or singles? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.212.64.234 (talkcontribs) 18:07, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

I've heard that "10/22" is going to be the first single (unless you include Everything Burns), of course that also used to be stated on the page itself too. FallenWings 19:38, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is the damn thing ever going to come out, at all? =S Allthecoolnamesweretaken 21:37, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE - According to Hana Pestle's myspace blog, Ben has been busting his ass since February of this year trying to get CRWYDR on the shelves. Hana and some dude with the last name Tait have been doing the BGV's. Marty O' Brien has also been supplying his services on bass. CRWYDR should finally be released some time this year if everything goes according to plan.  :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.162.216.27 (talk) 06:32, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template[edit]

Should Moody have his own template? I mean...for when his album does come out, he's going to have his own singles and stuff like that so...just a thought really. FallenWings47 19:40, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd not create a template until he has more than a single release under his belt. -- Huntster T@C 08:16, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well I didn't mean right away, I meant sometime in the near future, well depending on when the album actually comes out. FallenWings47 19:09, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Solo Album Update[edit]

According to his offical website it's coming out 03/03/2009. Thought i would let you know :D 121.72.236.247 (talk) 22:43, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source for that name? I've not yet seen it anywhere officially. Huntster (t@c) 20:34, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

not an official source, but a girl i know talked to ben and that's what he said. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.95.102.149 (talk) 15:22, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm assuming it will be Mutiny because the EP was called The Mutiny Bootleg but I can't seem to find any official sources.ZODtheReaper (talk) 08:00, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's cuz there aren't any....yet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.208.189.165 (talk) 23:55, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Believe EP"[edit]

THIS IS NOT BY *THIS* BEN MOODY. It's by some other guy going by the name "Ben Moody". Look it up on youtube, there's videos of this guy playing the songs calling himself "Ben Moody". Someone should sue this guy. <_<

-benmoody0220 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.162.75.161 (talk) 00:18, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this EP was not by the same Ben Moody as the one this article pertains to. I did check youtube and found these videos as well as a link to his myspace page. Fallion (talk) 07:57, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Click on this link, http://amiestreet.com/label/fnr-records/ and it displays Ben Moody as the Believe EP, and when you click on it, it says it's the same Ben Moody that released All for This. Just thought I'd throw this out here. FallenWings47 (talk) 13:36, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I preview one of the Believe EP Ben Moody's tracks on Amazon. Yeah...soooo not the same guy. FallenWings47 (talk) 15:14, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mmmhmm. I thought I told you this? -benmoody0220 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.104.3.109 (talk) 02:17, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know if he's going to release the album as a CD or not? FallenWings47 (talk) 23:58, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

David Hodges (formerly of Evanescence, now of The Age of Information), said he had a hardcopy. Something along the lines of this: "I got a copy of ben's LP this week." That was a few weeks ago. So, a physical copy is possible. It's been released now. -benmoody0220 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.174.2.206 (talk) 06:14, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've been looking for something on a physical copy and haven't found anything yet. If anyone finds anything, could you please let me know? FallenWings47 (talk) 01:43, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
