Hellsing article[edit]

Hmm. Looks like you don't use your talk page for actually "talking", as I can't see other persons' messages here. You can remove my post later, if you wish.

Just wanted to say it's alright about my edits in the article. I'll contribute whenever I can or find useful. Carry on. – Kaonashi 04:43, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)

I would use it for talking but i didn't need it before now :) I will probably move the list of the projects to the main page and add a short entry on myself... you will notice that i took some steps to take care of the Alucard/Arucard problem)

Hello again. I just want to say Wikipedia has this little feature that let people hide bits of text from an article's body, so nobody else will see it. To use it, you just have to use a "<!--" tag in the beginning, and a "-->" tag in the end. Everything in the middle of that won't show up in the article, unless you're looking at its source code. It's pretty useful, and makes the article more pleasant to look at. It's good to leave little notes in the article when it's really necessary, but Wikipedia's policy is to leave those things away from the eyes of normal people who are just there to learn something. That's why I did small fixes on that part on the Hellsing article, and hid your note. Hope you'll understand this.

Best wishes. – Kaonashi 02:40, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Thanks... i didn't know about that... it will be usefull... I'm still learning everythign about wikipedia, so some things are unknown to me... --Asmodai 02:50, Oct 12, 2004 (UTC)

That's alright. Most people don't know this feature exists. I don't even know where to find the Wikipedia page that talks about it and explains how to use it. And thanks for the recommendations of those works. I'll check them out when I can.

By the way, drop me a message if you feel like talking about something. See you around. – Kaonashi 02:00, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

A beginners guide to computer hardware & Wikibooks[edit]

I agree. I should have read the text more carefully. The page was listed on VFD on wikipedia, and on a first glance It seemed to be appropriate as a page on wikibooks. But perhaps I was a little to rapid with this. Donar Reiskoffer 08:04, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Order of Hermes and naming[edit]

Hi! I've taken from you the hardship of creating Order of Hermes article as you seem to dislike the topic ;). Take this into account as link to it on your user page in invalid in terms of Wikipedia: naming conventions. Namely, subsequent words in titles should be lowercase if possible. Any help on it is welcome of course. While editing please note however that I try to provide maximum number of links to philosophy associated with tradition so that independent research could be made that could enrich the playing experience. If you could provide more or more accurate I'd be very grateful. -- Forseti 10:26, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Fair Use?[edit]

I'm interested in starting a few articles for some characters from the Darkstalkers series and I wanted to ask you about fair use. I noticed you used official art on Akuma (video game character) and cited "fair use." Does that mean any scanned official art can be "fair use?" I don't understand. --Feitclub 04:50, Apr 14, 2005 (UTC)

If you check the image that i used it has its details there... it was not scanned, it was official promotion artwork for the 15th Anniversary of Street Fighter (sused on the net site), the source is quoted, and the material is used to illustrate the character. As such it should fall under Fair use unless i really mixed something up. The Source is quoted, it's not used for profit and it's used to promote the character and the game (in a way) --Asmodai 23:42, Apr 18, 2005 (UTC)
OK, so any official art used on the web can be used under "fair use?" I understand, thanks. --Feitclub 14:17, Apr 20, 2005 (UTC)
Should be as long as you keep your sources straight, and don't claim the work... --Asmodai 18:58, Apr 20, 2005 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Godzilla.jpg[edit]

Please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use of the image, one for every article in which it is used, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information. Such rationale is required every time. JodyB talk 20:28, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Godzilla.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Godzilla.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:22, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Jenny Sparks.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jenny Sparks.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:King_Ghidorah.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:King_Ghidorah.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:52, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Mecha King Ghidorah.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mecha King Ghidorah.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 22:22, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Mothra Larva.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mothra Larva.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
