The name of the "commune" is false : it was always called Chenonceaux, with a final "x", but the castle is really called, since the French Revolution, château de Chenonceau, without "x". See explanation on fr:Chenonceaux. Ma'ame Michu 15:17, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)

it was difficult to get the the "chateau de chenonceau" page unless you typed it exactly the same . since it is obvious the Castle is more interesting and important than the village around it i think it is normal that the word "Chenonceau" redirects to the castle . the word "chenonceauX" goes directly to the village . people can reach the Village of chenonceauX with a link in the first two lines of the article on "chateau de Chenonceau" page. thank you very much

It is hard to get past information about the place. I am searching for information on past ownership of Henri II and i could not locate the right infomation with the provided links.
