Sad day[edit]

I heard today that Moriori has died. I never met him, but I have long thought of him as a friend. He will be sorely missed.-gadfium 04:03, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for all your hard work. Rest in peace. My thoughts go to your friends and family. Schwede66 05:07, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure if we've interacted before, but it is sad to see you go. Rest in peace old friend. —usernamekiran (talk) 05:34, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
RIP, I noticed your name around the place, especially around 2005/06. You were also responsible for the most amusing instance of account compromise that I know of. Graham87 12:17, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yesterday, I fixed something on the main page and my sentence had a word missing for 7 minutes. I felt quite bad. But I no longer feel bad after reading about the above account compromise! Schwede66 12:40, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The person appearing in WP:STOCKS is appealing as serious funny mistakes, everyone has mistakes. Rest in peace. Thingofme (talk) 10:10, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you for your many years of dedication to the project. — Bilorv (talk) 22:28, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'd just like to say thank you to the person who notified us so quickly of his passing. Often editors and admins just fade away and we don't know what happened. I appreciate you letting us know of his death. We are grateful for all of his contributions to the project. Liz Read! Talk! 01:45, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • We never interacted, but I'd like to thank you for your service. Scorpions13256 (talk) 03:48, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • RIP Moriori. Guettarda (talk) 13:57, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have only just discovered this sad news. Moriori made his first logged-in edit in Oct 2003, two weeks before I made mine. He was a valued contributor, whose work I often noticed and appreciated, especially in the early years of the mid-noughties. Nurg (talk) 10:09, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

name it twice

Thank you for quality articles such as Thomas Bracken, for adding (attractions, slogan ...) to it's so nice they named it twice, for warning of unconstructive editing, 10 years ago and now, for precision and "hell, no fun", for a lasting image, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
