I am a biologist, specialized in molecular plant virology. I just learned about the wiki concept very recently (march 2004), and am fascinated with it. I have started to write about plant virology for the Botany_Microbes chapter of the botany textbook at wikibooks. Originally from the Netherlands, I have been living in Basel, Switzerland since 1996. I did my PhD and a postdoc here, but am currently at home looking after our daughter and expecting a second child. Contributing here may help me to keep my neurons exercised ;-)
