Talk:List of open-source search engines

For the record, the "use of" the original version of List of open-source search engines was as a (mutable) resource for someone in a position choose from among the group. To my knowledge, no such resource had previously existed, and I reckon shall not exist, at least not here(?). Frankly, I haven't read all the meta-Wiki stuff, so I wouldn't know if it violoated the spirit of the Wikipedia.

I do agree that "Open-source search engine" probably doesn't merit its own article, as it's pretty well defined by its constituent terms and respective articles. Fleminra 01:55, 13 Mar 2004 (UTC)
