Can this be expanded from a dicdef? What is the history of the term, for example? How does it relate to continental United States, which is noted in that article as ambiguous? ie Does it include Alaska? Andrewa 20:16, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

From vfd: Dictionary definition of an acronym, semi-orphan. --Smack 19:33, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Keep as acronyms are not a dictionary def, and someone may be looking for this having heard it. Such as NASA. Burgundavia 23:01, May 17, 2004 (UTC)

  • Merged & redirected to military slang. While acronyms are probably not technically slang, that seemed a better alternative than just moving it to Wiktionary which would have been my other choice. Rossami 01:19, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Redirecting to CONUS[edit]

Redirecting this article to CONUS rather than Military slang (the former provides an actual meaning / explanation (which is what the reader is presumably seeking) while the latter only provides a categorization, with no explanation of meaning). Mlibby (talk) 14:53, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
