The V monologue[edit]

Greetings Maeglin Lomion!

I noticed that you also mentioned in your comments that Hugo omitted a bit of V's speach. What did you mean by that? It's almost as if you were saying that there was a different (original script) that was somehow changed in the movie. The reason, of course, that I'm asking this is because I'm doing some fact checking. A previous user has said that there were 55 words beginning with V in V's intro. That used to be the case, but after edits, this is no longer so. (It is now less than 55). A reply would be most appreciated, as it would help out the V article. Well, I'm sure that the excised part was in the original script. Some critic [Sorry, forgot who] was going over the script, and criticising various parts of it, in which he included the "venerate what they once vilified" part. Then, I watched the movie [not quite legit copy, but we can ignore that], and Hugo doesn't say it.

It was probably originally written to include 55, but for some reason or other, Hugo didn't say that part. He just forgot, and they kept it? Not sure.

Not legit? I'm sure we all do it. :) I saw the V speech here. http://www.youtube.com/ (Search for "V for Vendetta"). How do you know all of this information about the original script? Do you have the source of where you heard this from (an article or webpage? Or.... perhaps you have the original script that had the original 55 words in it? I find this all very fascinating, and would love to salvage that part in the V for Vendetta (film) article concerning V trivia.
