Hi Donnie, welcome to the Wikipedia! If you need any help, there's a stack of help pages, or you can add a question to the bottom of the village pump. Apologies for the probable misunderstanding below - I hope it won't put you off editing further. All the best--Camembert

Are you User:Donnie Ng or User:Tester? Please stick to one. RickK 22:02, 13 Oct 2003 (UTC)

The fact that you have come in and created multiple user pages, and then are immediatley going to the VfD page and putting in your opinions, has me worried. Are you really a new user, or someone we know who has decided to create multiple user pages for nefarious purposes? RickK 23:22, 13 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Rick, Donnie hasn't "created multiple user pages" at all - he hasn't even created his own. There is no reason whatsoever to believe that Donnie is the same person as User:Tester. --Camembert
Why not? The User page didn't exist until User:Tester created it and several other, and then this user immediately went to the VfD page and started making educated comments about articles which a new user would hardly have enough information to understand, let alone to have opinions on. I contend that this user, along with several others, were created by the person who logged in as User:Tester in order to stuff ballot boxes. If someone can check the IP addresses and show me that they're different, I will definitely apologize. RickK 01:29, 14 Oct 2003 (UTC)
Seems fishy to me also. Definitely worth checking out or hearing from these users.Ark30inf 01:30, 14 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Obviously I don't know if the the people who had their user pages started by Tester are the same person or not. But they all seem to have different editing styles and different areas of interest, and one of them (User:Opus33), has been around for a little while, and is a very good contributor. And I don't see any ballot stuffing going on. It looks to me like Tester has seen these users without user pages coming up on Recent Changes, and he's decided to make a user page for them and put "Hi" on it. Why Tester's done this, I don't know - maybe trying to be friendly? - but I don't see anything fishy about it. --Camembert

OK, I've looked again, and it seems that three of the accounts (including this one) may have been used to stuff the vote on the Bush nicknames page. So perhaps that's my mistake there. (I don't think all the pages tester edited are the same person, however.) --Camembert
