"The January 30, 2005, elections were the first genuine free elections in Iraq's history, although some opponents of the elections continue to claim that they were illegitimate." The names of the candidates were for the most part unknown, a Sunni boycott significantly influenced the balance of power, and Bush claimed the Iraqi and Palestinian elections were legitimate (despite foreign occupation) while today he demands that Syria must pull out of Lebanon in order for free elections to take place there! International politics must not be viewed from the hypocritical American Republicratic worldview. —Sesel wa 23:33, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Saying "the first genuine free elections in Iraq's history" sounds clearly POV. I agree that the article should at least state WHO says that and WHO disputes it. --Susurrus 05:38, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)
