  • With all of these first name/family name/etymology articles listed on VfD recently, has anyone given any thought as to which MediaWiki project they should belong to? It's not so clear to me whether they should go in the Wiktionary, Wikipedia, or in some other place. Surely this has been debated before? Abstaining, --Ardonik 19:33, Jul 16, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: I don't know that there is one, yet. It seems like a genealogy Wiki would be logical. At present, Wiktionary is the best target. I know that paper dictionaries avoid the subject, for obvious reasons, but, if there were a category in Wiktionary that would tag the entries for movement later, it might be a fair fit. (Delete here, though, for dictdef.) Geogre 20:22, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Wikipedia is not a geneaological dictionary. Delete. -- Cyrius| 19:26, 20 Jul 2004 (UTC)
