Winn Parish, A Union Enclave?[edit]

Where does the statment "During the American Civil War, Winn Parish refused to secede from the Union and was a de facto Union enclave in the Confederate state of Louisiana." Come from its not Cited. It can not be true since lots of Winn parish people were in the Confeterate Army.

Clearly Winn Parish was not a Union enclave.

A friggin start class (actually at least C-class)[edit]

Magnolia677 WOW! This is listed as a a friggin Start-class that is arguable a C-class article. Back to 2002 I have only seen your user name twice (unless I missed it), now, and back on 11:59, November 2, 2016‎, when you correctly reverted unsourced content.
Your reasoning is undue! That is subjective. As an FYI-- I was going to create an article on the subject. A problem arose when the database dump listed Grant Parish. I could not find that, nor sourcing where one or the other Parish line was moved. I DO NOT make dictionary entries so listed it on this article actually to find sources and to see if it was worth adding at all and if there was something to use with this article. I didn't want to create a sandbox for a possible dictionary entry or a community listed in the wrong parish. There was evidence of Packton being in Winn Parish but it was slim. You must have some connection to the article but it seems "protecting" a lower class article, especially when another editor is not known for just adding junk, is somewhat counter.
Anyway, you can have Packton and Winn Parish. I will just edit somewhere else. Thanks, Otr500 (talk) 23:11, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Parish[edit]

It’s a Parish, not a county. 2600:8807:440A:3B00:C014:B927:BE64:8658 (talk) 05:08, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
