Quotes[edit]

Question: Are the quotes on the pictures actually from the show or are they just the author's attempts to be funny? Kakashi-sensei 02:43, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I don't know. Although I've never seen it, and at least one quote (Misty's about 'scrubbing her boyfriend's face) has to be fake, many of them (esp. those uttered by Team Rocket, Meowth, and Prof. Oak) seem to be in-character. I'm going to be nominating this article for featured article status later based on this. Almafeta 14:44, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I wrote those captions myself. I'm also the one who uploaded the pictures. - Nintendo Maximus —Preceding undated comment was added at 05:50, 28 June 2005.

Umm...[edit]

While I enjoyed the humor in this article and the captions... This isn't encyclopedic at all. It reads like a review, and the additional commentary isn't necessary. It'd fit better in a magazine, if I do say so myself. --Thorns Among Our Leaves 6 July 2005 17:32 (UTC)

I have to agree here. There's something wrong when the plot synopsis of Pokémon Live is longer and more detailed than that of the much more notable Avenue Q, which itself is arguably too long. This isn't helping the (justified, in my opinion) perception that there's way too much Pokémon info on Wikipedia as it is. Nightwatchrespond 21:17, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mirror imaged[edit]

If anyone's interested in fixing it, that main cast photo is back-to-front, look at Team Rocket's shirts, their 'R' is mirror imaged. TR_Wolf —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.175.148.177 (talkcontribs) at 14:41, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tour cancelled?[edit]

I remember seeing the show here in Belgium in 2002 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.176.252.9 (talk) 19:18, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. Is there any way you can verify this? Although I believe you, it doesn't seem right to modify an article based on one person's opinion. Cheers, Franklint (talk) 21:32, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you 81.242.105.31! I am Dutch and I can confirm what you wrote. I guess this was some kind of Dutch version of the US show, similiar to what happened in Portugal. Too unnotable to be put in the article, however. Cheers, Face 12:46, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, changed my mind about that. I've put it in. I rather mention it than not mention it. Cheers, Face 21:16, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh that explains why I don't remember it being in English and me memory of understanding what they said. --91.180.138.179 (talk) 22:09, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok... where you there? - Face 22:19, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cover of the soundtrack[edit]

Hi guys. I've edited the page with a couple of updates as well as adding a link to the only available video, an old commercial for the show. I also uploaded the cover of original cast recording and put it on the page. Being a bit of a Wikipedia newbie, I couldn't decide whether to put it in the "Cast" section (the cover primarily features a picture of the cast), or the "Soundtrack" section. So far, I've put it in "Soundtrack" secion, as it seems more appropriate. So feel free to move that all around.

EDIT: I added a proper music theatre infobox to the page, and put the album cover in there, as well as some other info. If anyone knows the composer and lyricist (I've got a feeling there's more than one of both), please replace the "Unknown"s in the box. I also put a question mark after the "Cancelled" in the production list, in response to the post below this one. Also, does anyone have a copy of the picture that used to be at the start of the article with the cast and crew on it? It was removed because the source wasn't mentioned, but I'd really like to take a look. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Franklint (talkcontribs) 12:34, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I was wondering how the original authors of the page got hold of a cast list. Does one of you have an old program of the show? If so, would you be at all willing to sell it? I'm rather obsessed with the musical, despite never having seen it :-). Send me a message if you'd be willing to part with your copy of the program (or, indeed, the CD).

Assessment[edit]

I changed the MT project's assessment to Start. The article describes the performance history and has a lengthy plot summary (that needs to be tightened quite a bit), but does not have any information about the genesis of the show or the reaction of audiences (except to assert that critics largely ignored it) or the show's profitability. There is no analysis of the text or music. A classic "Start" class article. If a background section were created, and the productions section were separated from a WP:LEAD with an overview of the article, it would move up to C-class.
