Sort[edit]

Theres a few things about the article that I'm not quite sure about. Firstly shouldn't the page differentiate between organisations which are actually part of the party like the Co-operative Party and the Fabian Society, and organisations which consists of members of the party like New Wave Labour and Tribune?

Secondly, shouldn't the trade unions be included on the list? (I might be wrong but I don't think every member of the TUC is affiliated). Saul Taylor 19:23, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Affiliates[edit]

The Co-op Party and the Fabians are not "part of the Labour Party", but are affiliated organisations.

The Co-op is specifically mentioned in Labour's Rule Book as being able to send delegates to constituency parties etc to align policies and campaigns.

In 2003 the Co-op Party conference voted in favour of introducing "Foundation Hospitals", the Labour Party voted against.

I'm not sure about the Fabian Society, but the Co-op Party only allows members of no other or of the Labour Party to join. Affiliated Trades Unions of course allow members of any political party to join garryq 13:38, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)

"Left" vs "Right"[edit]

Seems to me that catorgorising organisations into groups of "Left" and "Right" is a bit POV. From who's point of view is Compass to the right? Perhaps more descriptive terms like "New Labour" or "Brownite" could be used. aliceinlampyland 19:35, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
