OK - This page needs editing. My plan is to add the relevant academic content, but I live and breathe this stuff daily, so I'm hoping people really dig in there and change anything they think is necessary to make it more readable.

Yep, Copyright on the image is fine: I created it myself, and wish to retain Copyright. I am very willing to distribute it under the GFDL, however, so it should be fine to include in Wikipedia. That also goes for the kangaroo image that I contributed to Terms for anatomical location.

I only recently discovered Wikipedia, and I'm relatively busy with other things at the moment. I've been squeezing out 10 minutes here and there to browse around and add bits and pieces.

I'm planning to expand on the forelimb anatomy article as time goes by - it just happened that I had the bones image prepared already. Ideally, it should be replaced by one which includes all the bones of the forelimb from the scapula down, along with descriptions (although perhaps the descriptions for related bones can be grouped under headings with wider scope. eg: the phalangeal bones).

The other important information to include in the article are the forelimb muscles, the blood vessels, the nerves, and the lymphatic structures. These may need their own pages. I think that the equine hoof will definitely take up an entire article on its own.

Hello.

The illustration for the article "Equine Forelimb Anatomy" appears to be a HIND leg.

You might wish to correct this.

Its a diagram from the cannon bone down, could be either a front or hind leg, you are confusing the sesamoids at the fetlock with the hock joint, I think (?) Montanabw^(talk) 04:30, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
