Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Black swallowtail

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This placeholder used to have an image, but it turned out to be of a different bird and so it was removed. Doesn't seem to have anything of note left. Bryan 06:19, 5 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. It gives the Latin name of the butterfly. This inadequate info is not useless if and when someone chooses to finish the page. (I learned from following the link to the deleted image that it was a butterfly, not a bird. So I did in fact learn something from what's there.) Smerdis of Tlön 14:01, 5 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I've added some more info from a USGS web site. Hopefully it's a useful stub now. Wile E. Heresiarch 01:56, 6 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. It's times like this I wish I was a heavy drinker, so that I could have an excuse for why I didn't think to put this on Wikipedia:Cleanup instead of here (and also why I didn't even remember to put the vfd boilerplate at the top). Sorry about that. :) Bryan 02:30, 6 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Bryan can redeem his admitted error by counseling other heavy handed old-hat deletionists on the value of contributing rather than removing content, and considering rather than attacking other contributors. Is it really that much easier to spend several ours attacking others and their contributions than it is to research, correct or add content? SimBot2 17:30, 10 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
