Nuestra Señora de Monserrate[edit]

This Spanish article looks like it has been copied from an article or other source. I think it is likely to be a copyright violation. It has been on Wikipedia:Pages needing translation for two weeks, and it is going nowhere. I propose that we delete it. Sietse 11:30, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Abstain for now, I tried to check it, and it looks like it's portuguese. I like a Wikipedian fluent in that language(not Spanish) to check it first. If this doesn't give a result within the voting period, delete [[User:MacGyverMagic|Mgm|(talk)]] 11:42, Dec 2, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Nope, that is definitely Spanish all right. My español is getting a little rusty but I can attempt a translation if no one else is willing to do it. It does smell like a copyvio and would need to have religiously POV material removed/amended. [[User:Livajo|力伟|]] 12:58, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Rewrite or delete. The topic appears notable, but the text is almost certainly a copyvio with no online source. I suggest that if the article is to be kept, it is rewritten from scratch and not translated from the existing article. David Johnson 17:12, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Rewrite or delete. I'm Portuguese. The text is in Spanish. I agree the subject looks interesting enough to be kept, but it wouldn't to be massively rewritten. I'm not much of an expert on religion to try to rewrite it, so if nobody steps up I'll vote to delete. --Pc13 08:16, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. It's a copyright violation, and even if it weren't, it's an original source document. Original sources are for Wikisource. Maybe some of the material can be translated and salvaged, but it would be under a different title. COGDEN 18:50, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)
