Untitled[edit]

I can find no dialogue about Ben Dover on this page. I employed him for three years as an actor an cameraman but cannot comment because there is nothing to comment on. Mike Freeman, managing director Videx Ltd 1980-1983. This is a picture from Models 1983 of Lyndsay Honey (aka Ben Dover)and Mike Freeman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Models33.jpg —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eroticartist13 (talkcontribs) 20:19, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

previous version was better[edit]

I prefered the earlier version of this page, it had more info. Can it be changed back? I think he (Ben Dover) himself once said people sometimes asked him "where Orville the duck was?" in reference to him being mistaken for Keith Harris. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Loren3 (talkcontribs) 16:51, 5 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

  • You can add back any information you want if you can provide a source for it. Jdcooper 18:27, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Split section about Golden Eye speculative invoicing[edit]

I suggest the section about Golden Eye speculative invoicing should be split. The section is quite lengthy compared to the size of the rest of the article; Ben Dover is not the only individual involved in Golden Eye and therefore it seems odd that the information is solely on Ben Dover's wikipedia page; the references in the section refer principally to Golden Eye as a company, rather than to Ben Dover as an individual; Golden Eye is notable in its own right and would merit its own entry on wikipedia. Victor Greenstreet (talk) 17:45, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Golden Eye is a small time (relatively unknown to anyone not following their actions) limited company set up by the two people behind Ben Dover Productions (and no one else) and certainly doesn't merit it's own entry. If you feel the rest of the article isn't long enough, feel free to add content.

Lexington Steel[edit]

I see there is a reference to 'photographer' Lexington Steel. I dare say Lexington Steel has held a camera from time to time, but it is not what he is best known for. Or maybe there is another Lexington Steel.86.173.209.194 (talk) 10:10, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you are referring to Lexington Steele, the names are spelt differently and he didn't enter the porn industry until 1996. Also, I can't imagine an 8 year old black American kid was shooting hardcore porn in Soho in the late 70's!!

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Ben Dover/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

This article has been vandalised by those who do not wish the truth to come out. Truth or Dare was made by myself in 1982 and starred Lyndsay Honey and Paula Meadows.[not Gamble and his crew] See Porn Gold, Faber and Faber by Nick Anning and David Hebdith , reference Mike Freeman http://eroticartist.co.uk
