Your PHS article[edit]
I just wanted to say that your PHS article is coming around quite nicely. Having your first article nominated for "Votes for Deletion" so quickly after creation is certainly a discouraging welcome to the Wikipedia community, but I think its now safe to say that your article will stay. (Articles require "consensus" to delete, which is an undefined supermajority of 60-80% "delete" votes, with "merge" votes usually counted as "keep".)
Keep in mind that your school's article appeared in the middle of a heated debate of whether any high school could belong here. Had you arrived six months ago, PHS's article may have been nuked from orbit. I'm glad that popular opinion here is shifting in this direction.
Anyway, my compliments on the article's development. I hope you're able to recruit dozens of new Wikipedians from your students and faculty. --Unfocused 00:44, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for working on that article. Discussions last at least five days, and then eventually an administrator comes along and closes the discussion, deciding what to do with the article. If it's kept, the administrator removes the VfD notice, and sometimes makes a comment in the talk page for the article (I do that when I close, some others don't). I'd close it myself right now, but I was involved in the discussion, so we'll have to wait until someone who wasn't comes along. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 11:57, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
