Register/ Tone

The track list seems to sound like someones opinion, rather than a balanced view, or just information. Perhaps the whole track list section should be deleted and replaced with JUST the tracks and their lengths. Origin of the Variation

• A few parts are exactly like Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata as well.

Interpretation

• The title song, "Furious Angels", is about love, and can be interpreted as being about a man who hopes the angels will be furious because his beloved is dead, and that they will bring her back to him because his love for her is so strong.
  • Er, don't think so. The beloved one is alive and well, that's actually part of the lover's problem since she still can leave him. Look at the lyrics, it's about the vulnerability of the lover, as well as the childish egoism of the lover: "I love you, so you MUST love me. I need you, so you MUST stay with me. You gotta. You just gotta. And even if you leave, then-then-then, then you'll be awful sorry and furious angels will bring you back to me! So there!" -- those furious angels could be seen as the Furies of Greek mythos, deities of revenge relentlessly tracking their prey...

• "Clubbed to Death", which is instrumental, features a piano piece by Edward Elgar. The ongoing beat sounds like a man being beaten to death.
  • Nope, only the strings intro is Elgar's, the piano piece is only Elgar-inspired and Dougan's -- see the comments and the links.

• "Clubbed to Death 2", the exclusive track 15, resembles the first one.
  • Hence its title?

• "Pause", track 13, plays silence for a couple of minutes. It might have been intended to make the track exclusive by confusing people with a copy of the album without track listings so that they will skip track 15 when it just plays silence at the beginning.

• "I'm Not Driving anymore" / remix is an original instrumental version.

Law & Order and Furious Angels

Mentioned on this page is how "I'm Not Driving Anymore" is used as the theme to L&O: Special Victims Unit and "There's Only Me" for L&O: Criminal Intent. The themes of those shows in the US are remixes of the original Law & Order theme. Is this in error or is it used somewhere else, in another country, perhaps? TonicBH 06:15, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)

— You're right, looks like this is only the UK version. IDMb's Rob Dougan page says "(UK aired version)" for both L&O:CI and L&O:SVU [1], and their respective "fullcredits" pages too. "Abyssal Mix"

I searched for quite a while, but the only other reference to any "Abyssal Mix" on the web (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%22abyssal+mix%22) seems to be A YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8lx2kBm28M) by the creator.
Whilst I'm as encouraging as anyone else about new music, I'm not really sure this deserves a spot alongside Clubbed to Death. It certainly does have a 'unique' sound though... Tomythius (talk) 02:03, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
