Untitled[edit]

7/4 -2005 Har opdateret antallet af MEP's og skrevet lidt om formandsvalget.

6/2-2004 : Har p.t. opdateret artiklen med SD'ets handlinger i 90'erne og op til valget i 2001. vh Peter Perlsø

I tried to remove the strong anti-SD bias in this article, but I still need help with more information and history of the party from 1945 onwards. Thanks!

Try the website for the party, there is an overall history for the party called in danish "den røde tråd"

Fair use rationale for Image:Socialdemokratiet1945.jpg[edit]

Image:Socialdemokratiet1945.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Need for update[edit]

Now that the Social Democrats are the leading party in Denmark's ruling coalition, this article needs to be updated. - Ipigott (talk) 05:56, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Redundant ideologies[edit]

This article's infobox, similarly to those in the articles on other social-democratic parties, especially those from Scandinavian countries, are full of redundant ideologies like "Nordic social democracy" and "Third way". I do think that "social democracy" is enough as description. --Checco (talk) 19:34, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ps: I suggest that a joint discussion might take place at Talk:Swedish Social Democratic Workers' Party. --Checco (talk) 10:54, 28 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fist and rose[edit]

If someone has reliable sources on the party’s former use of the fist and rose emblem, do contribute to Fist and rose#Denmark. Keriluamox (talk) 10:54, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Correction[edit]

I have corrected pronunciation for the Danish word Socialdemokratiet [soˈɕɛˀlte̝moˌkʰʁɑˀtɪət], not Socialdemokraterne [soˈɕɛˀlte̝moˌkʰʁɑˀtɐnə]. By the way, Socialdemokratiet means Social Democracy, not Social Democrats. MoRisop (talk) 11:06, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Either error in source or simply false statement in section '20th Century'[edit]

In the section called '20th century' there is claim made that alle prime ministers from the 1940's to 1972 were social democrats. This is simply untrue. For example, from 1968 to 1971 the prime minister was Hilmer Baunsgaard who was a socialliberal. There were also prime ministers in the post-war years that were from Venstre. If you click the link to Arbejdermuseet, the article also does not make this claim.

Another thing is that the year 1972 does not have any significance on whether or there was a social democratic prime minister. 1972 was the year of Denmark joining the EU and Jens-Otto Krag leaving office but the office was filled by another Social Democrat. I recommned deleting this comment. 5.179.80.206 (talk) 08:23, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Changed the color of a slightly darked red[edit]

Hi :)

While editing and creating pages regarding Danish politics, for a long time, I've wanted to change the color of this party. Before a very light red   was being used, and this was solely based on just one of their logos. If we look at the page site, we see one of their other logos in the left corner, which looks similar to this  . So as I see it, the party associates themselves equally with both shades of red. However three important sources - DR ;TV2 ; Official parliament site, all use the darker red for the party.

So for this reason I've changed the color of the party to a darker red, as the media uses that shade of red + they do themselves partially.

I will fix the parliament diagrams soon. Thomediter (talk) 17:10, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ideology in infobox[edit]

The infobox summary of the party's ideology should be reserved for actual ideologies, not used for supplementary information about various current political position taken up by the party, cf. MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE and the following discussion threads who have formerly treated the same question:

Consequently, I have reverted this edit by Vif12vf - anti-immigration is a party policy, not a fundamental ideology. Økonom (talk) 10:50, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
