Not just revolvers[edit]

Wax bullets are not just for revolvers. I use them in a Colt 1911 govt .45. An auto pistol, properly set up will feed empty cases - the only problem is that you have to work the slide by hand. Bruce: Savage Pistol Defense School

You can also feed them right into the chamber, but it's hard on the 1911 style extractor (which is meant to be a CRF, not a push-feed). Most magazine feed guns, in my experience, will not feed an empty from the magazine, the wide front and drastically shorter OAL causes the round to either catch on bottom of the feed ramp, or pop up at too high an angle and stop at a 45 degree angle. The 1911, with the original frame based feed ramp setup, eliminates the first problem, but most will still have problems with the angle of entry. -- scot (talk) 20:14, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested resolution to "Wax bullets for training" section[edit]

I recommend deletion of the Wax bullets for training section and addition to a reference to Simunition in See also. Drbits (talk) 16:41, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
