Maybe use this image?[edit]

Could there be a good way to work this image, one that beautiifully illustrates the historical spelling "Coblenz", into the article? Just wondering, as it is stated very prominetly in the first sentence of the article, and this may be reinforced by this image.

Deutsches Eck monument: photoshopped image[edit]

There's something very odd about the cablecar photograph. The first thing I noticed was that one of the cabins appeared to be in front of a cable it should be behind, and more careful inspection shows that there are repeated "breaks" in the cable and also that it's far too heavy when compared with other photos.

I think it would befit a city of the status of Koblenz not to be represented by a suspect image. MarkMLl (talk) 21:51, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The photo is alright. As you can see in this picture, the brighter drag rope is in the middle of the 2 darker holding ropes, a bit lower, but as height varies it gets eclipsed by the darker ropes here and there, creating the illusion of breaks you reported. Koblenz Germany history[edit]

"Deutsches Eck"?[edit]

Have no sources but read, that the name "Deutsches Eck" has nothing to do with "Deutschland", but with a house or "castle" nearby of the "German Order" to defend Jerusalem. The figure stood long on the other side of the Mosel because there was opposition to put this idiot up. Dubiel (talk) 19:29, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Arts and culture[edit]

There is no mention of the arts in the article. Koblenz has many theaters, music ensembles, art museums, etc. I just created a stub article on the city's symphony orchestra, Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie, but I see no place to put it in the article currently.
