Chinese at top of album cover[edit]

I was curious about the Chinese at the top of the cover; it appears to read "不乱苦雜派" (an interesting mix of simplified and traditional), and one site I found said it's Frank's name, if some of the characters are pronounced in alternate readings: Fou-luan-ku Za-pa. I suppose it makes more sense than it meaning "organized bitter mix sect"...? —alxndr (t) 15:46, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed "Bolero" track[edit]

Any known reasons for this and the changed cover artwork? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.129.165.109 (talk) 15:58, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The rights to "Bolero" are discussed over at the French Wikipedia, in their article on SACEM, the French music copyright authority. Judging by this article in the Guardian it's not right to say that the estate of Ravel objected - the rights appear to have been hoovered up by a lawyer. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 16:40, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Frank Zappa - The Best Band You Never Heard in Your Life.jpg[edit]

File:Frank Zappa - The Best Band You Never Heard in Your Life.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

devotes itself to covers[edit]

I wonder about the extent to which this album does indeed 'devotes itself to covers'. Only 9 of the 28 tracks are covers, and many of them are snippets used as bridges between tracks. In fact, most of the information in the paragraph below is irrelevant...

Each of these three accounts of the 1988 tour has a different emphasis: Broadway the Hard Way mainly consists of new compositions; Make a Jazz Noise Here is a sampler of classic Zappa tunes, most of them instrumental; and The Best Band... devotes itself to covers. Some of these are unlikely (such as "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin), while many are from Zappa's extensive back catalogue. His mid-1970s output is emphasized in the selection, but there is also some material from the Mothers of Invention's late 1960s recordings and one song ("Lonesome Cowboy Burt") from 200 Motels.

What exactly denotes a cover as being 'unlikely'? I propose this paragraph be removed, or at least substantially reworked for greater relevance.220.240.153.58 (talk) 13:13, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
