How about merging Stalingrad into Volgograd and redirecting it there? One city doesn't need two articles just because the name changed.

We had this discussion re: Inchon vs. Incheon and decided to leave them the way they were. Well, actually, Inchon redirects to Incheon, but we decided that history articles shouldn't be edited. -- Zoe

The above discussion is from 2002. I am moving Stalingrad here, pointing Stalingrad to Volgograd and putting {{Redirect|Stalingrad}} on Volgograd. There are about 100 articles pointing to Stalingrad, and ALL of them have to do with the city now known as Volgograd. --Dryazan 20:52, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)

The Name ob bulgarian Varna was not "Stalingrad", but Stalin only. see also http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalinstadt 87.245.91.33 14:12, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
