I would like to see some audio clips added to this article. No pun intended.

Headline text[edit]

The original version of this article was a copy-vio from [1] Is it different enough now, after some edits? Joyous 22:46, Nov 7, 2004 (UTC)

Yes, bravo. -- user:zanimum

The title needs to be changed as does the little bio box - he died in 1993, not 1990. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.170.89.217 (talk) 01:17, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please cite sources for this article per WP:V[edit]

It is required. See WP:CITE for how-to. Thanks. Mattisse(talk) 22:54, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Conway twitty.jpg[edit]

Image:Conway twitty.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:42, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Family Guy Reference[edit]

He is in more than one Family Guy episode. I remember one he was referenced twice. That section needs updating. 68.9.254.24 (talk) 03:13, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, the way Family Guy has been including Conway Twitty, I can't help but wonder if they're trying to commit primetime suicide. There's gotta be atleast 4 episodes that feature him, sometimes playing entire songs. -K10wnsta (talk) 17:12, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The reference to Family Guy is included in the "Popular culture" section - now with some references and explanation for context. There has been some editing to remove this, but with these fixes, there is every reason to keep it. Wikipeterproject (talk) 18:04, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The only reason I was removing the info is because it was unsourced or only sourced to wikia, an unreliable source. Now that it is sourced there is no reason to r remove it. GB fan 02:23, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life[edit]

Was he actually a professional pipe layer? This seems to be a joke to me, and I think it ought to be removed, right? Even if true... -Dylan — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.126.95.201 (talk) 16:24, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This article could really do with more information on his personal life, such as marriages and children. The only mention of his family is either in the context of his son's and grandson's tribute band or his legal battles. JmaJeremy talk contribs 03:00, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1950s Country career[edit]

He had a country recording career in the mid-50s and even had a #1 country hit in 1955. We should have more information on this. George Slivinsky (talk) 11:28, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
